Dietary Advice for GOUT patients

Uric acid ia a metabolic product of purines.So high purine containing items should be particularly avoided.
brains
kidney
Beef,liver
sardines
scallops and
sweetbreads
Vegetables HIGHEST in purine include:

asparagus
cauliflower and
mushrooms
Milk, eggs, and cheese, are good sources of protein, and do NOT contain high levels of purine.

Diets high in fat and alcohol, as well as very low calorie diets, can lead to more frequent and severe GOUT attacks.
